granny's china cabiet.

today made my heart so full.

A while back- Edwin's grandma 'granny' moved a bunch of her furniture out of her house to prepare for a move. She asked me and Edwin to see if we wanted anything, and our eyes met {and fell in love} with two things.

her precious little china cabinet was one of them:

Edwin and I had big dreams to one day turn it into our little "liquor bar"...

Here is the before. The wood itself made my heart skip a beat. its so beautiful and I loved the wooden wheels at the bottom. I was so excited she let us have this and better yet turn it into something so precious to us.

Excuse the messy garage:)

So- after a lot of sanding, staining and drilling we now have this in our dining room:

I am so in love.

The knobs are one of my favorite parts. We picked a pop of color but kept it in the rustic family. Edwin actually picked these out:)

We of course have the liquor side.... Edwin said to put the most important bottles up close :) always stocked on beam and black.

And then our wine side. I love all the room in the cabinets.

We re-did the mirror that was in the dining room and added that same brushed turquoise look to it. Tied everything together nicely.:)

Last but not least, we saved a drawer for the china that belonged to granny. Edwin loves it and so do I. We are so happy to have it along with a special piece we will forever treasure in our homes.

bit. Obsessed.

I cant promise this is going to be the last post in a while regarding my adorable, precious, handsome love-bug of a nephew. well, lets be honest. it wont be.

This past weekend it was 'our' turn to go babysit Eli.

-to catch some of you up. Candace and Josh are both physicians and they are in their 2nd year of residency. They are both on crazy different routines at the hospitals and by most of the time they have it worked out where they are on opposite schedules. sometimes, like this weekend... they are both there. at the same time.

lucky for me and edwin. :)

We got to spend the entire day saturday loving and playing with baby e. He is one of the best babies I have been around. so well behaved and so so cute.

edwin and I both got our snuggles throughout the day.

he is the sweetest bug in the world.

sunday, we had lunch at blue marlin. super good. some of the best collards in town. MMHM.

whew.

This past week has been so needed. crazy. BUT in a good way.

I had midterms, so finishing those up i needed some much needed girl time. Thursday night, my bestie (erin) and I went to our favorite... SUSHI & got to catch up. again. NEEDED that.

LOVE her.

Saturday, Me Casey P, and Harvey decided to go hit up G-VEGAS. Its one of my favorite places. Especially when its nice out side. We could have not picked a better day to go. We shopped, ate, and drank. ALOT. i love it and THEM!

Seeing how I have to PASS through Spartanburg to get to Greenville... it was must to visit the most adorable baby in the world.

got to catch up with my sista and love on baby eli. He is getting so big! I can not believe he is already 3 months old! Next weekend, Edwin and I are keeping him since mama and daddy have to work. I CANT WAIT! I am sure i will be overloading my blog next time with pictures of him everywhere. I just cant help it. Hes starting to get more of candace in him. when he was born. he was ALL JOSH. but now I can see that Lindler side in him.

Candace showed me some of his 3 month pictures. Here is one of my favorites.

reunited*

let me start this post out by saying i failed MISERABLY at getting any photos from Saturday night. I am hoping someone else took some that I can add later.

Saturday night was the SECOND annual oyster roast for our graduating class- i cannot believe its been FIVE years.... eek. time flies by.

between irmo, chapin and dutch fork we had THE BEST group of friends. so.. when i say graduating class its really our massive group of friends get together and have the best time. growing up we were all so so close. This year was of course a beautiful house on lake Murray. It was a great turn out and it was sad to all part ways again.

We enjoyed telling stories and getting to see what is going on in everyone's lives. We are all in separate places and to have such a big turn out was awesome. I love to hear over and over again the "i miss yous" so sweet. we bring out the best in each other. so blessed to have you all apart of my life.

until next time sweet friends-
