falling in love with fall.

So this week has started some early morning 'crisp cool air' excitement. The thought of fall makes this girl SUPER happy. This weekend I will probably put up my fall decorations. eek. (even though we have ALOT to do this weekend).

anyways- jumping into fall trends there is alot of new 'looks' that are approaching. These are some of my favorite clothing items that have transitioned from last fall that i still like.

a drop waist dress/tunic has been very popular even in the summer.. but how cute would this look be with leggings and short booties? be careful the girls (like me) with a bit of a bootay/hips... these could not look so cute on you.

of course my love for oxfords still keep on (whew) eveywhere is selling these now. love the bright colors to make those dull fall days happy.

Leather is a hype right now. leggings, shorts (with tights), even jeans. they are hot and typically look great on any body type.

This shoe make my heart skip a beat a little. I am in love. throw on a pair of tights and a mustard tunic... ahhh. i need them. (sorry getting a little off track.)

These 'wrap' heels are big right now with any type of outfit.. the wrap around the ankle give the leg a 'longer' look and helps those short girls out with the look they are trying to achieve.

When I think of fall... i think NEUTRALS. i love this look with jeans and a nude heel. who doesnt have a pair of nude heels right?

before i die...

Yesterday during the 'normal' work day hours I had one eye opening experience happen to me that of course I was least expecting. I had to share.

I was running an errand on main street, which was just a couple blocks down from my office.  If you don't live in Columbia, you may not know that main street has a very much 'city' type look to it. I was approaching the building I was going to when I saw this:

of course me being me (ha.) I had my phone ready to take a picture. this reminded me so much of new York and the city life and most importantly expressing how you feel on the street!! I loved it.

after I snapped my picture I began to read some more of the 'before I die' lines that hundreds of people have filled in. This 'wall' was a very long wall. Some of the words were powerful, some of them sad, and some of them funny.

As I was walking away a new reporter stopped me and asked what I thought about the wall. I told him and he asked if he could interview me. It was a cool to see so many people impacted just by WORDS. This completely made my day.

Here is the news link from watch fox.

As I was walking away (for good this time) I spent at least 45 mintues there ha. I saw the last words that melted my heart "find my daughter".

we take things for granted so much in our busy lives that we honestly could be walking past a person that is in terrible need of just comfort.

How would you feel yours in?

Vacay.

So I know that you have all been WAITING for me to post about the vacay. ha.

but really- it was such a relaxing time in one of my favorite places in South Carolina. There is nothing better than waking up to this view.

Our "routine" for the week was wake up, breakfast, beach it for HOURS, nap then shower and go out on the town. um, does that not sound like perfection??? I must say the sun took a lot out of us and we NEEDED those naps (ahem Edwin). I love the beach. there is not more that I love better.

Edwin and I HAD to have our oysters and look at these HUGE suckers.

They were DELISH!!!

We went to some great lunch and dinner places. and perfect "drink" spots. which we always love to find. :)

I couldn't have asked for a better time away with my family. I am so thankful for each and every day I get to spend with them. I was sad to leave but sure did make some memories.
