Yesterday during the 'normal' work day hours I had one eye opening experience happen to me that of course I was least expecting. I had to share.
I was running an errand on main street, which was just a couple blocks down from my office. If you don't live in Columbia, you may not know that main street has a very much 'city' type look to it. I was approaching the building I was going to when I saw this:
of course me being me (ha.) I had my phone ready to take a picture. this reminded me so much of new York and the city life and most importantly expressing how you feel on the street!! I loved it.
after I snapped my picture I began to read some more of the 'before I die' lines that hundreds of people have filled in. This 'wall' was a very long wall. Some of the words were powerful, some of them sad, and some of them funny.
As I was walking away a new reporter stopped me and asked what I thought about the wall. I told him and he asked if he could interview me. It was a cool to see so many people impacted just by WORDS. This completely made my day.
Here is the news link from watch fox.
As I was walking away (for good this time) I spent at least 45 mintues there ha. I saw the last words that melted my heart "find my daughter".
we take things for granted so much in our busy lives that we honestly could be walking past a person that is in terrible need of just comfort.
How would you feel yours in?
